- Now that Dwight Howard has made it clear he seeks the colossal spotlight in Brooklyn, the Magic should prepare to look deep into their future when it comes to their front court. Orlando has already extended a qualifying offer to Ryan Anderson, but it’s going to take much more than that to heal a departure of Howard. Orlando will seek the best deal for the dominant center in the following days.
- Andre Miller will remain a Denver Nugget after agreeing to a three-year deal yesterday. The 36-year-old point guard has used both his experience and craftiness to average 9.7 points and 6.7 assists last season for the Nuggets.
- Jamal Crawford has made himself one of the primitive sixth-men of the league in the past three seasons. The 32-year-old vet put up 14 points and 3.2 assists for Portland last season, and is garnering much interest from teams such as the Clippers, Celtics, Sixers and the Suns.
- Ray Allen could be set for slightly better numbers this following season if he ends up signing with the reigning champs in Miami. Allen is coming off his worst playoff performance last season, averaging just 10 points while shooting a career-low of .395 from the field.
- Roy Hibbert grabbed Sunday afternoon headlines after revealing his interest in signing with Portland. Hibbert remains one of the lone quality big men in the league at the ripe age of 25. The Blazers already have a talented inside presence in LaMarcus Aldridge, but Hibbert’s 13 and 9 would tremendously shake up the Portland front court in a good way.
